What if the parts of the Bible we tend to skip over are actually hiding some of the most breathtaking portraits of Jesus we could ever find? The symbolism is stunning. The scapegoat sent into the wilderness never to return mirrors how God removes our sin as far as the east is from the west. The Feast of Firstfruits reminds us that God is a promise-keeper who always delivers. And the tabernacle, with its precise measurements and strict boundaries, confronts us with the seriousness of God's holiness and the weight of what it truly cost for us to be brought near to Him.
