Righteous Rest

This week we continue our look into the life of Elijah and we are in 1Kings 19. After Elijah's epic confrontation with the prophets of Baal the transformation of the nation he was hoping for doesn't happen. He flees for his life discouraged and tired. Last week we saw the immense power of God and this week we see the immanence of God. God demonstrates His kindness to Elijah and in helping him work through the discouragement and hurt that he is feeling. God meets us in our weakness and displays His power by sustaining and upholding us.
